“Cutting a block of wood to make a xylography is for a sculptor just like carving a sculpture”

Xylography is a process of multiple reproduction by using the technique of woodcut. On a wooden
board the desired image is cut by hand with a chisel or a burin. Then the board is impregnated with
ink and by pressing on the paper we obtain the printing of the relief.
